Baby Giraffe at ABQ Zoo July 2015

July 19 and 20, 2015. This baby giraffe was only 2-3 days old when these pictures were taken at the Albuquerque Zoo and Bio Park. At this time think it is a boy. No name at this posting. No contact yet with humans.

Pretty much all legs at this point.
Early morning on July 20, 2015. It was amazing to watch the mother nudge the young calf to get it to nurse (for the first time 3 days after birth according to the zoo keeper present). Here she starts pushing him in the right direction.
