A few snapshots of some fall color in the Santa Fe, New Mexico ski basin. There have been millions of evergreen trees killed by bark beetles in the past decade and since 2008 the Forest Service has been doing aerial surveys to identify areas of aspen defoliation and mortality. These pictures contain some of those areas.
